    Err, no.
Me neither. But it would be nice if I had the means of taking a family photograph in the sunshine.

Now I have this image of him naked in a sunbooth holding his Les Pauls.

Is this called the Essex method?

I really like the cherry red in a 'burst Les Paul, but I've only recently discovered that I'm one of the few; always thought it was the most desired, like a two-tone sunburst and maple Strat.

You can have a 'wow', but get a guard on them dammit!

But, joking aside, do modern Les Pauls still fade?  50's red aniline dye did, which is why they changed to a different dye in '60.  Do the dyes they use now fade at all?  And I guess different dyes and laquers for USA, Custom shop etc. will behave differently.  I've got a 2016 Standard in Ice Tea that looks lovely but I wouldn't mind the red being a couple of shades lighter.

Certainly used to, unless the dye has been changed again in recent years. Fading R8s and 9s in the sun used to be standard stuff in the States.

Was kinda planning on that sort of strategy. Until Moans minor fell up the garden steps, sustaining a deep gash to his leg so we are now enjoying the hospitality of A&E.
