Stumbled across this vid, which I thought was really good because I hadn't appreciated just how different these sounded.  My preference is definitely for the 100w - extra features aside, it just seemed to sound so much clearer, more open and with more bottom end whilst the 50w sounded boxier, darker, and a bit more muffled to my ears.  YMMV of course, but thought the vid was interesting enough to share:

Tried both, back to back! A friend of mine wanted one so we tried them both, the 100 was notably better sounding.
