    Oh dear… "that which has been seen cannot be unseen" and all that.

    "Take these three items, some WD-40, a vise grip, and a roll of duct tape. Any man worth his salt can fix almost any problem with this stuff alone." - Walt Kowalski

    "Only two things are infinite - the universe, and human stupidity. And I'm not sure about the universe." - Albert Einstein

    Did Nirvana metal up a non-metal song? If so is it that?

    The man who ruled the world? Summat like that anyhoo. Mind it's Nirvana and I never really paid much attention to them.

    They didn't really "metal it up", pretty much stuck to the Bowie original. (It's on MTV Unplugged in New York)

    I'm pretty sure somebody did a Metal version of ABBA's Fernando.  We tried at a rehearsal once, but couldn't stop laughing - mainly because it sounded great !
    I used to have the 12" single of Gimme Gimme Gimme by the Leather Nun (IIRC they were Swedish as well and their explanantion was if you use 'a man' as a euphimism for heroin then ABBA wrote a drugs song).

    My oldest son wondered the other day if Word Up by Little Mix was a cover. I have really brought that boy up all wrong...

    By that logic I could claim "the wheels on the bus" has satanic undertones.

    "Satanic undertones"....Great, now I have an image in my head of a load of Norwegian lads, in corpsepaint and spikes, burning a church to the ground whilst merrily singing "Jimmy Jimmy" and "My Perfect Cousin"...

    Never seen that before, UK TV performance of it from 1986 with Jools and Stephen Fry for some reason.

    Not strictly metal, but this remains one of my favourite covers:

    (Their "All the things she said" cover is a bit more metal)

    This would be a great song to "Rock Up" but making sure to keep the original syncopated rhythm/beat.

    @PolarityMan

    The miserable sods, Lol. I prefer the other track to be honest but E.G would also be a good fun cover.
