SOLD Fender 68 Princeton reverb Reissue £550

Hi all,

Having a bit of a tidy up and having had some good progress recently finding the set up appropriate to my use case has brought to light a few surplus items in addition to those I was already looking to move on. So thought best to bung it all in combined threads with an up to date Wish list for potential trades or part exchange etc. to see if anything appeals to you good people.

All items are in good/very good condition unless otherwise noted. I’m in Birmingham should a meet up or collection be an option.

Fender ’68 Custom Reissue Princeton Reverb - £550 (Collection or meet up preferred, as it’s heavy and full of valves). Lovely popular and classic amp with good looks and clean Fender sounds. 12 watts, valvey, nice trem and reverb. Just not suitable for my use case and is higher value than I can justify keeping doing nothing. Includes a nice padded cover and the footswitch

Jet City Jettenuator - £70 + delivery. Good little attenuator that enables dummy loading with or without speaker simulation. Essentially, it allows you to make your loud amps quieter through attenuation or your quiet amps louder by dummy loading them and sending to a bigger amp. Seems well built as per usual with Jet City. Boxed. MAY NEED TO KEEP THIS SO ON HOLD, SORRY

Or Yamaha THR100HD, Fender Vaporizer, or something Supro
Danelectro DCV56CR Convertible, Fender Telecoustic/Stratacoustic, or other similar smallish “acoustic that plays like an electric”. Or a Gretsch Jim Dandy!
Line 6 G10 wireless system.
Cheap end Epiphone or similar SG in natural wood type colour (may consider more expensive ones if they look right – long story!)
Maybe even one of the dark burst 2015 Gibson LP Jnrs? Depends if I think I can pass it off as being the same as what I’m trying to secretly replace 

@colourofsound not for me thanks, I'm looking to "downgrade" to be honest to an amp that'll just sit under my desk, and given I'm not very keen on the 68 Princeton a bigger louder version doesn't seem like the way forward I'm afraid

No worries mate! Shame you don't like the Princeton; thought it was lovely in the shop. Not as good as a Deluxe of course, but needs must...Good luck in your search!

It's undoubtedly user error as others seem to think they are great amps. I'm sure they are in the right hands, but it's too loud for my home playing so I've never heard it sounding its best, and I feel there's too much value in it to sit under my desk doing nothing as I don't get any chance to play in public.

Also I feel quite silly having sold off a lot of stuff cheaply to get it thinking a universally acknowledged nice amp would be good for me, and it's been a waste of time, effort, and the money lost trying to get it! Hence my preference for a £150-£200 amp really as I can justify that for my ability and situation.

If you're still looking for an amp, I have a Vox Pathfinder 15 combo. It's the tremolo only version (no reverb). £65 + p&p.

I think it could be priced too high perhaps, who knows

Would swap for a decent laptop computer or a decent DLSR perhaps as have no longer any need for an amp
