Recommend (or sell) me an Octavia type fuzz

Something that captures the Purple Haze type tone, and ideally sounds good all over the neck.  A small footprint would be good too.

For the price vs authenticity I’d say the fulltone octafuzz is hard to beat

I have the octafuzz and I love it but it's not the all over the neck octave pedal.
Pigtronix Octava seems to fit the bill.

Thanks, Octafuzz is probably the main contender.

 

Just looked at a demo vid comparing the Octafuzz with VL Proctavia and preferred the Fulltone.  Both sounded good though.

Roger Mayer Octavia gets my vote: Roger Mayer invented the octave fuzz so think that speaks for itself really. Can pick them up for a oner 2nd hand. Only downside is the box is huge and a bit of a qwirky design but i have used all the others (fulltone, mxr and various others) and the original Roger Mayer Octavia is definitely first place in terms of sound.

I considered the Roger Mayer as there are a couple on eBay, but it would never squeeze on my PT Metro 20.

 

I’ve gone for a FT Octafuzz.  Just realised I’ll need a reverse polarity cable to power it though.
