The features (from what I can see from the low Res pictures) point to a recent model US Std- two-point trem with bent saddles, 22 frets, modern style 2-pin tuners, small headstock/50's logo). The '10' from the serial number suggests 2010, but there's no letter prefix/ country of origin - my Am Special starts '10' . Maybe the US Std follows a differnt sequence? Anyway, I'd want to see more pictures, starting with the headstock face/ truss rod adjust area to see the walnut bit surrounding the truss rod hole, the logo and to see the 4+2 height staggered tuners, and take it from there.

I don't think Fender did small headstocks late 70s. they came back with the 'lawsuit' japanese models and then the squier models before the yanks restarted them later.

Description doesn't tout it as old and it doesn't look it in the photos.

Not sure where you got that info from, but a '76-'81 serial number would start with an S, or an E - for 'seventy' and 'eighty' followed by the year number - although there is no exact correlation because decals overran when they weren't used up in their designated year.

As already said this is a modern USA Strat.
