GAS is gone, I want it back!

What's Hot

Well, it's safe to say I'm a very happy man now that I have my dream guitar and amp (Les Paul/JTM45) but it seems to have killed my GAS! I've bought a couple of guitars since getting my LP but they remain mostly unplayed. I haven't bought a pedal in quite a while and am only really interested in different flavours of reverb now. I miss the hunting for hours on end for the next guitar related purchase but I just don't know what to look for anymore, my GAS has gone and I want it back! Anyone else in the same boat?
Tomorrow will be a good day.

  • If you've completed guitar it's time to level up to bass, where the real fun starts.

Simple solution.    Sell the gear you have now, then spend another 10 years chasing down a combo you like just as much.   Problem solved

Go and play a Lion from @FelineGuitars. That's the only guitar I've played in the last couple of years that gave me a GAS flashback.

Similar situation. Although I’m not looking for it to come back....

I don't believe it, just wait for someone to dangle a lovely LP in front of you.

Even more annoyingly, I've begun to really like a guitar I was thinking of selling so that I could buy something else. And what's more it's a Mexican Strat - the dullest guitar in the world. A white one (yawn).

Turns out it does actually have bags of character, is incredibly versatile and an absolute piss-walk to play. Turns out all you have to do is practice a bit and it starts to sound good.

Why can’t playing guitar be like football, where the ones with the most money to spend are always the best?

Throw your Les Paul down the stairs and the amp out of your bedroom window. The gas will soon return  ;)
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

Nope. Go synth. There is a whole money pit of fun to be had.

Well, I've pretty much finished my reasonable bass GAS, so synth is next for me.  More specifically I fancy picking up Komplete next time it is on sale.

    It's a JTM45, I don't want to damage the patio!
