I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.
I lived there for 18 years, I've been here nearly 26 years.
The flight from Heathrow to Hobart is 26hours long at a minimum and it is usually better to break it up.
You still have a 90 min journey either side from my house here to Heathrow and then from Hobart airport to the town I grew up in, so you'd struggle to do it under 30 hours door to door.
I guess that is far.

Just shy of 1,000 miles, assuming Chunnel usage. Little less as the crow flies.
I'll sing along with Huey:
"I would walk five hundred miles, and I would walk five hundred more."
@Stickyfiddle is not the furthest from his origins, there's at least one émigré gone down under.
I'm glad I moved away, I find it a bit sad to go back and see my old friends still sitting in the same seats in the same pubs 15years later.
You've gone the wrong way though, you are supposed to move to the prosperous south from the north : )
There are some appropriate resources at the bottom of this page:

I'd propose using this one:

717.7 miles as the crow flies for me.
@octatonic clocks in at something like 10,900 miles, 3367.5 miles for @stickyfiddle

But i did live less than 2 miles from where i grew up until a few years ago
NZ must be further! Someone could live in the south of NZ though. Or Antarctica.. And I wasn't born there, so happy to let a true Antipodean claim it
