The Squier Venus appears to have been designed by someone who held a MusicMain Silhouette up in front of a fairground mirror and liked what they saw... whether it beats the Firewood X or not is debatable. On the plus side, at least the Venus wasn't obsolete about five seconds after launch.

The Corvus is quite a graceful and elegant design by comparison.

Didn't they reissue the super sonic a few years back? I think I remember it being in orange sparkle?

Never came across these before, not surprised they didnt take off
Those only got attention when they were photographed with Courtney draped all over them.

The single pickup USA Venus might be worth finding. The Squier is *Awful*.

Yes, there was a Mexican-made version in the Pawn Shop series a few years ago.

I had a blue sparkle Squier Super-Sonic.  It was very well made (in Japan, not China or wherever) and the finish looked great, but (as usual) the hardware and electronics were shit.

Oh, and I love the Gibson Corvus.  But I wouldn't pay vintage prices for one.

The Venus is actually a really nice guitar. I’ve owned three over the years. Made in Japan , basswood body with a big chunky neck (so not all women want thin necks) and jumbo frets. The electronics where a bit hit and miss but it’s a good guitar in its own right.
