Got to be Allardyce - this could finally be his chance to show that he's cut out for the likes of Real and Barca.

Been listening to the radio, you'd think he'd died.

Dunno. Some bloke from a big club in Europe who barely speaks English probably.

is it crazy how saying sentences backwards creates backwards sentences saying how crazy it is?

  • His teams have played some fantastic football over the years, be sorry to see him go. Wish him well for his retirement, he's bloody earned it.

    Thanks for the battles.

    Man Utd.

Rafa I reckon. Knows the league and has managed bigger clubs so can handle the pressure. Maybe Gus or Carlo. Troopz, DT and Claude must be ecstatic!

    ... or Nuno! ;)

    Ditto.

Trouble is, there are so many great managers who are, or will shortly be, available.  Picking the best candidate is tough.  Perhaps we could we get a fans* petition together for the next manager to be Mark Hughes?  Or David Moyes?  Or Tony Pulis?  Or Alan Pardew?

*OK, so maybe not an Arsenal fans petition ...
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

  • As a palace fan, I sincerely wish them Pardew.

Can't think of a more deserving set of entitled fans.

Neil Warnock. And Stan Kronke and co can sell up for cheap to Mike Ashley. Absolute dream team.

    Apologies. I said fans.

I always rated the way he wanted to play football, lost the plot a little in the last couple of years.  Everyone else could see he had never replaced Viera and that was the missing piece of the puzzle but he couldn't see it.

If I was an Arsenal fan I'd be after giving a Thierry Henry or the likes a chance.

Legendary rivalry with Fergie from the late 90s to the mid 2000s. Hated his guts during this time but can't deny that he was a massively entertaining and worthy contribution to the game.

It's like an end of an era - the last of the 'old school' managers from the 90s (my favourite decade) to exist in the game.

  • I'd try and nab Conte from Chelsea, I think he's out at the end of the season. Originally I wanted Wenger to go last season and we get someone like Ronald Koeman to replace but it didn't happen.

Was a top manager in his day who had teams that played outstanding attacking football. I'd have him any day over the whinging git Mourinho.

Looks like Patrick Vieira is in the running.

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!
