Oldest son has found another cracker of a series: "Happy". 

Happy is the name of a little blue unicorn that is the imaginary pal of this little girl. She gets kidnapped and the unicorn finds this world weary ex-cop to find her. It's very gory, Mrs A wouldn't approve at all. Very good indeed.

Somewhat tamer, but I am also enjoying the modern take on a childhood favourite of mine: Monkey. A tongue-in-cheek japanese/martial arts caper.

There is also new version of "Lost in space", Bill mumy the original Will Robinson, has a cameo in the pilot episode, he's a bit of a guitar player these days too, very good, well worth a watch.

I'm enjoying Lost In Space, and I am quite excited about The New Legends of Monkey.  I hope he summons his cloud in the classic style.

MrsTheWeary is a bit of a Monkey fan so I’ll suggest that to her. She’s been watching Lost in Space although I’m finding it a bit crap.
Having more succes with The Alienist from which I’m trying to try to revive the Victorian phrase mutton shunters.

I've just recently binged Lost In Space and Everything Sucks. Both great.

I've started a rule of if the first episode doesn't really grip me, don't carry on. Othewise, you just end up with too much to watch.

Mrs Fred signed up to Netflix last week. I now understand the whole binge watching thing.

 I'm a bit worried that it will lead to the family just ignoring each other even more whilst glued to devices. 

Any tips for managing your watching habits, this has got problems written all over it...

I think I'm going to try to limit myself to no more than one episode a day.

Not just me but the whole family now given up on Lost in Space. However, the New Legends of Monkey is proving to be a treat. Probably not essential viewing really but it's quite funny if a bit odd ( Japanese production filmed in New Zealand and Australia with primarily local actors) - maybe even odder than the original. I won't say any spoilers about the cloud. 

The Alienist is still good although having to be in the right mood so not yet watched it all.

I stuck with Lost in Space to the end, and whilst fairly enjoyable I felt no particular connection to any of the characters and came away thinking 'what was the real storyline?' It was like a series-long intro episode.
Star Trek Discovery was much much better.
