Cue heaven is three, four, five, six Telecasters...?
Looks like you have the ultimate 50s style tele and the ultimate 60s style tele so I think you should now just carry on through the decades.

Next up a 72 custom followed by a Tele plus for 80s followed by a Coxon for 90s etc. etc.

This is why we do partsacasters. Feed the Beast without breaking the bank. ;)

    Nice that sunburst mind.

It is indeed, 7.5lbs and Abby pickups. Unfortunately the Nocaster has a 'leaning headstock' as the highly figured maple has moved upward a tad and altered the geometry of the neck so there's more relief on the treble than on the bass side. It means you need a high action to avoid buzzing. I should probably wait for the right replacement neck to come up on here or eBay, been looking for a year or more...

Not a cheap guitar for that to happen on, esp a sought after Cunetto build. No way to fettle it without slaughtering the 'value'? Mind, if it's a keeper and you can still play it fine....

It's beyond fettling. Fortunately I only paid £1150 for it, albeit that was about 10 years ago. If I was a slide player it would be fine! I'm sure I'll come across a good enough replacement neck one day and until then it will get the occasional noodling but won't be played out in anger.

Could you steam and clamp the neck to straighten the headstock?

I am no expert, but thought you could do something along those lines to fix the warp.

Bit of a shame that. Should think about starting a dedicated thread, as @stonevibe noted, there's some right clever buggers on here.

  • I feared that could happen to the figured necks on those Page era Fenders, so I sold mine a while back. Great guitars though...had a dozen of them at one time. Tom Anderson stopped using birdseye maple for that very reason. Yours looks alot like my first one which was serial R1542.
