Hi All,

I have been reading a few Les Paul repair threads recently and fancy having a go myself at repairing one.

So I am on the look out for a Japanese Les Paul such as an Orville, Burny or Greco etc at a reasonable price as a project guitar to repair and rebuild.

Not too bothered if it needs a neck repair etc.

Colour is also not really important as whilst repairing it I may strip the finish and refinish it completely if its required.

I prefer a neck and body only with a set neck ideally with no hardware as I have got loads of spares but will consider anything.

I would also consider a none Japanese Les Paul as long as they are close in design and shape to a Gibson Les Paul with the correct shaped headstock and preferably a 2 screw trc etc

Please pm me with any related details and photos if you have got one you don't want to repair and are prepared to sell.

I would need it posted and live in the Newcastle Upon Tyne area.

Cheers :)

I have a Korean tokai LP I was gonna put up for sale in the near future. Structurally sound I'm afraid, but that's nothing a bit of gravity couldn't fix.

I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.

It was a Korean one and went for way over the top price wise.

Blimey I was thinking it was worth a go if it was under the ton...

Cheers I also thought Orvilles were only make in Japan?

The price did seem very high on that one though considering the work required to fix its neck and then add all of the hardware. I wasn't prepared to go as high as it sold for.

There will be others around I am sure but again please let me know if anyone has an unfinished project Les Paul I can buy, not too bothered about any neck/ headstock damage as long as its repairable.

    Thanks :)
