Pot length?

i have a pre-historic Gibson les Paul - does anyone know what length pots it requires?

If it's like mine it will have the metal mounting plate in so you'll need 3/4" shaft pots.

Would I be able to see this plate in the cavity?

No plate. Medium (standard) length pots should do the trick then.

Why not take one out and measure it?

Thanks Steve - wil do when im not at work - most sites seem to list CTS pots as short (vintage) or long?

Short is 1/4", medium 3/8" and long 3/4". Not many people stock the short ones (which are use by Fender on their pickguards) and sell the medium as "short".
