Yes, really helpful and great quality work.

He also fixed up my uncles original Matamp Orange (series number 008), it had been sitting for a good 10 years but now it once again sounds sublime.

Is he across the road from PMT? If so I believe he was their tech then he went all han solo and now they recommend him cos they dont have a tech anymore, thats if he is the same guy, I could be wrong. If you want a tech give PMT or Cookes in Norwich a ring and ask them if they could recommend one.
A Deuce , a Tele and a cup of tea.

Yes I think that's him. I'll pop over and see him soon to get a pot swapped on my LP.

I used him to set up an old Tele. He did a good job and was reasonably priced.

Agreed, Phil replaced the pot in my Les Paul R8 and it's a very clean and tidy solder job. Top job.

I recommend Phil Pugh (The Guitar Medicine Man) to anyone needing some work done in the East Anglia region.

@jumping@shadows - I poked my nose in to your workshop next door and saw some lovely guitar bodies in build...

How much did he charge? What did he do? I need a nut and set up on my Baja.

It was about £40 IIRC. He checked all electrics, shimmed the neck and cut the nut slots.

Why did he cut the nut slots?

I’d fitted a new nut and the slots weren’t deep enough.
