same here it is hauntingly beautiful, the pace of it is just sublime and i think, for me, therein lies the genius of it

Have missed his last couple of UK gigs with the trio but he's back in London on 17th July at the Jazz Cafe in Camden.

Got to meet and speak with him a little last month when he was in town with Nels Cline. I lent them a couple of amps. Very open, friendly guy (Nels too) who just makes it look so easy (if only!).

I  got a bit obsessed with this too. I purchased the album on the strength of this session. He has just an astonishing command of the instrument knowing just how to squeeze such a great tone from such a simple set up. A masterclass in the "what's less is more" school of playing. Have a wiz

I should say that that I first heard this tune only a few weeks ago thanks to a guy call Paul Davids on Youtube, he shows you how to play some of song.  It starts @ 2.35mins.
