PSA: Power of Attorney

If any one has taken one out recently (up until April 2017) you may be able to claim a refund of some of the fee. 

I've just reclaimed £45 online for the one I took out for my mum in July 2016.

There was a short article about it in Paul Lewis' column in a recent Saga Magazine.  Go onto gov.uk and search for "power of attorney refund", and fill the form in.  You'll need to know the donor's bank account details and the POA reference number.

Update: just got an email this morning confirming eligibility.  We'll only get half of it back, though: £22.25, including £0.25 interest!
