Wireless receivers & pedal power supplies

I'm thinking of putting together a small board for jam nights and was wondering whether it would be ok to mount the receiver for my Line 6 G30 wireless system on top of an MXR ISO Brick to save on space, or will this just introduce unwanted noise into the equation?

Where do others put their wireless receivers on their pedal boards?

  • When I had my G30 I used to mount it underneath my Pedaltrain Jr. I had to use a patch cable with a pancake jack as it was a tight squeeze but it worked well.

^ this. I've had no noticeable issues mounting the receiver under my board.

I used to mount my G30 underneath a slatted wooden board with the power supply beside it. I didn't have any issues with noise and the receiver worked fine

My G50 is first in my chain furthest to the right on my pedalboard. I don't use a lot of pedals anyway (3 max) so it doesn't take up much space.

  • Maybe underneath then, if the mxr will fit. Cheers all.

I have the Shure glx16 which is the guitar tuner also so sits on top of my board. Seems to be happy there and powered by my Zuma
