Tele truss rod adjustments

Can anyone tell me what a typical truss rod adjustment (how much of a turn) would be for going up a string gauge (10s to 11s) on a Tele?

I'd actually put the strings on first and see if it needs doing.  Sometimes if you are only going up one gauge you can get away with it.

If there is too much relief, then the usual procedure of tighten it a quarter of a turn at a time, and then check it.

First measure the gap on the Low E at the 12th fret - some use 5 fret to measure

with a finger from the left hand, or use a capo, fret the Low E at the first fret - then right hand, again on Low E, use thumb as a pivot on the last fret, then look for the gap at the 12th fret, as you touch gently with first finger - For little relief you want a gap that is visible but only just visible - No gap ='s no relief and buzzing strings - To big a gap and to much relief

If you adjust best to do a touch then repeat as required - depending on the guitar it might take a while for adjustment to bed in - Imagine 1 to 2 on a clock face as an ideal amount to adjust
