sub octave pedals

Anyone use an Mxr Sub Octave Bass Fuzz, bass octave deluxe  or the sub machine on guitar?

Yeah. I really like the MXR Bass Octave Deluxe, sounds nice and fat but the (monophonic) tracking is pretty decent.

how low are you wanting to go ? The digitech drop - does semi tone drops to an octave below and is polyphonic n tracks very well indeed

The MXR Sub-Machine is fabulous for deep and dirty fuzz.  I love it.
Not much of the gear, even less idea.

The classic Boss OC2 does an amazing Moog sub bass sound. Another good one to check out is the DOD meatbox, it absolutely destroys any PA system and is the best sub octave (808) pedal out there i’ve used. Both are now discontinued but i picked both up second hand for around £90 each. Heard the MXR is pretty good also

The TC Sub'n'Up is good, too. You can dial in different amounts of octave and two octave below. It's also polyphonic.  It's not a fuzz octave, though.

  • Dod meatbox. No polyphony but it's a speaker killer. Gets a bit fuzzy too
