    RIP.

I saw him live what may have been thirty years ago and it’s a great memory. When I was listening to more blues his stuff with James Cotton was just such a great funky take on Chicago blues.
Brought a lot of joy into a lot of lives.

Just heard about Matt - I suppose my introduction to him was via the Blues Bros movie, then you find out what else he has played on and who he has played with - I saw him live in concert with many of the Blues Bros guys inc Duck Dunn + Cropper etc on a Blues Bros tour some 20 years ago or so  - RIP Matt  thanks for the memories

Very sad. I was listening to the blues bros soundtrack just yesterday. Will have to dig into more of his catalogue

  • Only just seen this. RIP. Such a good guiayr player. More than just that guy from the blues brother, he was a monster guitar player . If you haven't already got it, check out Etta James' live in New York album. Especially 'rock me baby'
