Project shed and buried - Finished and with pics

Over the years I have accumulated loads of bits and pieces, prolly the same for most on here!...

I recently posted a body for sale, two piece, swamp ash that got no takers... In a bizarre twist of fate I now have an allparts fat strat neck on its way!...

So, what can I throw together with parts from the shed? And will it be any good?...

The body is already painted up in Oly white so that’s staying...



First job has been to plug the holes for the trem... I’m not going to splash out on a decent two post system so the holes gotta go...



Will wait for the glue to dry and router the plugs flat... will also touch up with a bit of white later.

Needed a bridge tho’
Swung by the local guitar emporium on the way back from a job and raided their parts bin...

found this little lot...



15 squid later, along with the promise to leave the shop immediately, i now haz bridge!...



Happy that hat I don’t have to age these bits!... years of grime on them by the looks of it!...

also found some “corned beef” conveniently shaped like a pickguard kicking around under some boxes...



Will post more as it as it happens but not a bad start...

Im happy with that, plugs don’t even notice that much, once blown over with some white won’t notice at all.



I fancy a humbucker in the bridge this time round... has anyone got a torty guard in hss they fancy swapping for this fender one? Or shall I just butcher this one?

Well it’s now has a little light relic work... glad to see the sunburst is still under there...







Ive also got an HSS torty guard coming and a raw nickel PAF on its way... not decided if I should use the tex mex or cs single coils yet...

need a switch and pots tho’ if anyone has anything cheap kicking about!...

Ok... well thanks to mr @lovestrat74  the shedocaster now has a fretted baseball bat fitted... pleasently surprised to see it all lined up with no plugging needed!...

Not a huge amount of progress as I’m waiting on lectric bits!!!! But, neck refinished and logo’d... slung some strings on it... the neck is massive!!!!  Not sure I can get my thumb over!!!!!







Hopefully postie will bring me goodies today!!!!

ITS ALIVE... It works, stays in tune... sounds good... and IMO looks the nuts...

And Yes!!!! well under the £200 budget!... Get in.

I bloody love this. My weapon of choice is a fat necked Oly White HSS relic Strat so this is right up my Strasse.The only thing I’d change is I think the colour of the SSS guard looks better

I’m with you on that. The sss guard is proper fender whereas the hss was as cheap as I could find
