Is there such a thing as an attenuator with 2 footswitchable volumes ??

if I could find such a thing it might be the answer to my jcm800 woes . The closest thing I could find was a Weber one , but it didn’t have 2 volumes , it just had a footswitch you could switch the Attenuator on and off with .

anyone know ?!

Don't think so, you could use 2 Weber ones.  But again I think you are looking to solve a problem in such a complex way that it will just create more problems, and also be a total pain practically.

If you really must use a JCM800 that's too loud get an attenuator and use a boost in the loop for solo's, but a smaller amp with the facilities you want would be a better bet IMO

  • You could have a look at the Bad Cat Unleash although not strictly an attenuator as it’s also a reamplifier. I had the V2 for a while, in the end it didn’t suit my needs, on paper it was perfect but it was less so in real life; may just have been my rig. Ended up running two Non-MV amps via a Radial ABY.

If you are ever anywhere near Leicester feel free to pop in, otherwise buy a new one and send it back under the DSR's if you dont like it.

Theres one on ebay at the moment at a good price, but no returns

My Sequis Motherload Elemental has a socket on the back which is intriguingly labelled "Remote Shifter".  It looks like it would take a footswitch ... but is not documented on the (single page) manual so I have never plugged anything into it.
