Kemper vs Helix

Was wondering what the difference in technology was between the amp models?

I understand the kemper profiles a real amp but do the people at line 6 use similiar technology to make the amp models on the helix?

Is there something that Kemper are doing that make their profiles closer sonically to the real amp than the helix or axefx?

The Helix modelling is done down to a component level, the example usually given light bulb in a univibe, so the helix model has coding for the bulb.

The Kemper measures the response of the amp as whole - at the settings you are modeling.  If you buy a commercial pack of profiles, you might find several of the same amp at different settings.

I've no idea how they do it, but try to check out some comparison demos of what the amp sounds like compared to the profiled version of it. There are loads out there. The feel is there, which is important.
