Never really looked online to check out hiw people reckon theyre done..
Anyone here ever do/try one?

As long as it's not paired with the Tyler headstock, I think those finishes look great.

A follow-up question if I may? It seems that the vomit/water finishes are relatively straightforward, but could anyone hazard a guess as to how the shmear finishes are applied?

I think the finish looks great other than that great big bare arse cheek they leave. Uggh.

Yes, Tyler are a conundrum - some of the best necks going, stunning finishes and tone, but that goddawful headstock and that odd bare patch. Still, I'd have one in a jiffy!
