The Rolls Royce of acoustic guitars and one of the best examples you will
find out there. Previous owner bought this from the famous New York store
Matt Umanov guitars which recently closed for business. Shop sticker is
still on the back of the headstock so comes with a little bit of history.

Guitar is immaculate, amazing to play and has an incredible and powerful
sound.

No structural issue, cracks or repairs of any kind.

The soundhole label has fallen out over time, seems to be common issue with
Gibson acoustics of this era, there are many other examples online the
same.

Nut width is 1 11/16 so not a skinny neck model which came just after this
and is less desirable.

Comes with a later 70s case which it came with when I purchased from New Kings Vintage Guitars in London earlier this year.

£4000

it is a truly beautiful guitar, if I was spending £4k I think I'd want 6 matching pins! What's the story behind the black saddle?

The saddle is original as far as I know and sure I have seen plenty examples online with the same from that era. There are 5 pins in the case which match the odd one on the guitar included in the sale

Let me know if you believe different re the saddle and I will look into it further, it was sold to me by New Kings as original and it didn’t strike me so no reason for me to doubt

Filtered 60s J200s on Reverb and see a 67 and 64 both with dark saddles if that helps

Dark wooden saddle is correct for late 60’s, earlier gibson adj bridges had ceramic white saddles but latest i’ve seen them is 64. They tend to crack quite easily.

Thanks Jimmy, yeah another look at the link I posted it’s just the 67 of the J200s with the dark saddle on the reverb link. Not sure why I thought the 64 had one too.
