    I don't know a lot about the pricing of Pro Ams to be honest, the asking price does seem high but I haven't been tracking them the way I have some other models.

    I actually prefer the medium frets to the heavy on the Andersons (and Suhr).  They're taller and thinner.  I like proper jumbos, but height is more important than width so the mediums are the next best thing.
    They aren't heaven, they are 6100 jumbos

    Had a look at this one?

    The colour I think will be a bit marmite esque but price is more realistic and the neck join will be better than a 4 bolt square heel.

    Yes seen it, as you say the colour is marmite, and I hate it I'm afraid :)

    Don't rule out an older 4 bolt Anderson neck joint.....my friend has one of each and I prefer the feel of the 4 bolt, but I also have a couple of 4 bolt Andersons myself and in all honesty it would be the least of your worries when considering overall spec...the heel on the 2 bolt feels bigger to me

    Long story, bought one and it was in my opinion not as described.  The seller wasn’t interested in allowing me to return it, but did in the end agree to, and I got a partial refund.

    The Suhr looks lovely, but recent experience has put me off buying 2K guitars unseen

    They got the guitar back and you only got a partial refund. That sounds a bit rough!

    Have you considered an ESP MK2? Coda have one for £999 - it looks great and they have had it a while, you might be able to shave a bit off the price.

    Yes, I thought so too, but a full refund wasn’t on the table, and IMO I couldn’t re-sell the guitar for what I paid if I gave an honest description so thought it best to cut my losses.

    just picked up a very modified EVH strat, with 2 EMGs a scratchplate and an amazing holoflake paint job for not a lot of cash, that’s satisfying my superstrat urges for the time being while I wait for my USA Washburn coming back for a refin from @lamf68 ;

    The paint is pretty special, never seen anything  like it, has a few issues that aren't a problem to get sorted, but it plays great, sounds great and looks avazing - Exactly what a 50 year old needs for Bon Jovi covers :)  Popped up on ebay for £350 and didnt think twice!

    Was it an Ebay purchase?  I'd have thought you could take it up with Ebay if the description was misleading.

    Hi mate, I'm very sorry to hear that the guitar wasn't as described. Unfortunately, if I have seen the same guitar relisted, it looks like it is now listed in a number of places, so others may get stung too, too bad you can't give feedback on Gumtree.

    On a more positive note - happy NGD! The EVH looks really cool and I bet it sounds great with the EMGs

    Any info on the guitar would be very useful...I am looking about for a suhr but this sort of thing fills me with dread...what a total extortionist!!

    I do however not do anything unless PayPal is involved and always cover the fee, as soon as someone says no PayPal, I go with no sale sale for this very reason.

    Very limited high end guitars pop up for sale in my neck of the woods unfortunately
