I’m looking at this pedal as some of my function band tunes require certain delay subdivisions.

am I correct by saying you have 2 delays in one. If I turned the mix 1 completely anti clockwise I’ll only hear delay 2/mix 2 (bottom control with all subdivisions?

mix 1 is just a standard 1/4 note delay?

so I could have a dotted 1/8th and 1/4 note delay at the same time? All with tap tempo

i can make the delay sound pristine or less so with the different functions.

what else can you say about the pedal? Pros and cons?

  • I love the DIG and contemplate buying one again most weeks (when I'm being weak).

I've not owned one for the best part of 18 months so...my understanding is yes, by turning down one of the mix controls, you get the other delay line in isolation. So yes, the one with the subdivisions if you turn DOWN mix 1. Try it first to make sure, my memory could fail me on this.

Again memory may not be being kind to me, but yes, it stands to reason that mix 1 is a 1/4 note delay.

    Yes to question 3.

Yes to question 4 - 24 bit is most pristine but a bit lifeless, the 12 bit is nice but spent most my time on ADM, IIRC.

Modulation is incredible. Beautifully lush. The dotter quarter was my favourite setting, really beautifully rhythmic and main reason I don't NEED another DIG is because I can get quite close with the Kemper.

Great delay, clean, bug sounding and surprisingly underrated

  • Tremendous pedal. Slowdive guitarist has one on his board, I think. Sounds beautiful.

It's the one delay pedal that I really want. I just wish it wasn't so damn expensive!

I'm a big fan of 80s  rackmount DDLs and have a couple of Deltalab DL4s and a Roland DEP-5. There's a certain something that they have that I haven't heard in any pedal except for the DIG.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

I've been meaning to try one of these out for a very long time. The rhythmic stuttery delays sound awesome.

However I already own an El Capistan and I can't really afford to have two Strymons at the moment.

Check the manual...especially the secondary functions:
    https://www.strymon.net/manuals/DIG_UserManual_REVA.pdf

You can set different subdivisions for Time 1.
You can also unsync Time 1 and Time 2, i.e. stop tap tempo controlling Time 2.

    Mixes are independent.

Stunning. Saw them at Hyde Park recently and they still sound sublime.
