Guitar related number plates

What's Hot

On my way into work yesterday I saw a very nice Mercedes with the reg; VE5 9AUL.  Initially I thought it was meant to read "Yes Paul" but then wondered if the driver was a guitarist and it was the closest he could get to Les Paul.

I also clocked a KT66 plate too in the evening but that's obviously just a serendipitous confluence.

Anyone come across other reg plates that could have a guitar reference?

I've seen a few AC15 plates - but never AC15 VOX - that would be good

Jim Marshall use to own JCM800 - so JTM45 etc would be worth finding

@impmann might recall but someone in the trade use to own G111 Tar - with the holding screw in place it read GUITAR - might have been his old boss

Someone else in the trade had EL84 - Peavey rep and his name was Eric Lund - so relevant to him and guitar amps

I always thought something like ES335 etc will be good

Someone at work used to have SM57 on their company car, but they had no idea it was a popular model of microphone.

Was that Simon or Terry? If so...  I've never had the pleasure of working for them... they were already persona non gratis by the time I was involved.

    Hmm, BA55 or TO55ER, that's a tough one!

Edit: apologies, that's not intended to offend my bass playing friends, it was just a bit of a joke.  In any case I drive a BMW so it'd have to be TO55ER by default. :)

No guitar related (unless you start brining in Chris Rea songs) but the best number plate I ever saw was M253 MPH - spaced M25 3MPH

I bet some are not badly priced as they mean little to anyone else outside guitars

    ie SG2000    59LP    R9    CU22 (for a PRS or CU24)  JEM 777V

But something like BOSS or BO55 I'm sure will be owned by some big CEO somewhere

My own plate starts AX, that's kinda guitar related in a very tenuous way............
