So I have three fender cables that have died on me. The shop that I bought them from is now closed down. Anyone know who/where to contact if this event please?

    Try that.

You’re gonna need the reciepts I believe as a previous poster has tried this warranty before.

If that number proves fruitless, then they tell you to contact an authorised fender dealership. Somewhere like Pmt, Andertons, Guitarguitar etc..

    Perhaps they could help.

Should add, many people complain about the jacks on Fender cables.. apparantly they arent so good.

The actual cable is fine, but the jacks not so much.

I was told that warranty was only valid in the USA.

If it's a lifetime warranty, why would you need the receipt? :D
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

Usually it means lifetime of the original purchaser, not the product. They wanna be sure you didn’t pick it up second or third-hand at a car boot sale...

The cynical side of me would say that it's a just another hoop to make someone jump through to make a claim, how many people are going to keep or even know where their receipt is for a cable they brought a few years ago?

Mrs Rift has claimed numerous times for knackered cables, although she just takes them back to the shop with her proof of purchase and they swop straight away.

When the Jack plugs failed on my fender custom shop cable I was told I needed the original receipts.

So i bought some neutrik jacks and soldered them on. Very happy with the result.

Likewise when two of my Fender cables suffered from poor soldering.

i think @ICBM indicated a while back in one of the cable threads that Fender cables are mass produced to a budget, and the quality of design inside the jack leaves a lot to be desired.

Won’t be buying anymore Fender cables. Sorry Fender.

Yes I have had issues with 4 of 5 cables purchased together. One was a mic lead and the rest were guitar cables. Won't buy again. On a parr with Stagg TBH.
