Sorted. Returning my M-audio BX5 D3 monitors. Need suggestions

These are my 2nd pair after I sent the first pair back and after only 4 months they are now producing intermittent distorted high pitched white noise.  Very annoying.   Won't be buying another pair of these. 

So looking for suggestions for another pair to buy, up to £400.

Oh yes the yamaha hs7 and hs5 have very good reviews.

Adam have some new slightly lower budget speakers out - Adam Audio T7V. I haven't heard these, but Adam have a good reputation. I personally have a set of the Focal Alpha 65 which I think were slightly outside your budget but I can definitely recommend.

Yamaha HS5 user here, very happy with them. They handle my bass pedalboard via a mixer so well that I don't use my bass amp to practice at home anymore. Lotsa bass out of those 5 inch cones
