happy storming @Nitefly ; it's a regular for me in autumn especially. i like the combination of science and art. the medatitive 'rain on puddles' interference patterns of the radiating sound rippples.

the zoom in +/- is surprisingly accurate too. i like setting it to max zoom when there's a big storm a few miles away and counting the sound ripple in. the rumbles and waves are well synched.

anyway, 'the simple pleasures are the last refuge of the complex' as oscar wilde used to say.

I have this bookmarked and will follow storms coming in and as they go past.  Love the interplay on the map and listening for the bangs or thunder.   Unfortunately today nothing has come close, though my folks in Easy Yorks seem to have taken a bit fo a hammering
