I would say the Kokko Booster (NUX)  but it will change your tone by virtue of it being A RIGHT BOOTFULL OF BOOST - so will push your front end more thus tonal character. But - IF YOU WANT THAT - INSTANT MASSIVE SHOUT ABOVE THE DIN - it's the one.

    Silly cheap too...

That Kokko boost apparently needs 300ma, bloody hell!  Shurley some mishtake?

This will probably seem an odd suggestion but the Marshall BB2 pedal could be worth a look. It has two modes - ‘Blues’ which to my ears is one of the worst sounds to ever come out of any stomp-box and and ‘Boost’ which is exactly that - a clean boost which really doesn’t colour your sound but just makes it louder and gives the amp a bit of a kick.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Probably a mistake. The Koko Reloaded only takes < 15mA.  I have one and it's a great mid boost and I would recommend it for a clean boost too.

I have an MK.4.23 from Creation Audio Labs, which is the best I've tried. Had good results with the Boo Instruments Boost and Spark Mini, for a more affordable options.

At the risk of sounding a bit old school. Boosting a signal that may be incorporating circuit overdrive other than the drive/fuzz pedal will cause a change in tone. Sometimes by driving the amp input beyond a set point.
IF (see it's a big if) that's the case you need to work backwards and get your tone at full whack before turning the guitar volume down a little. Then boost is simply a matter of a flick on the guitar volume control to or near full.

This all assumes the various pedals have thier gain stages optimised in the sequence they are used and you have control of the bands onstage volume, you do have controlled stage volume don't you!

+1 for the TC Spark Mini as a neat, effective, low cost solution - put it in the loop if you want to just up the oomph without changing the drive.

Best to put it before or after overdrive?

Before to increase gain, after to increase volume.

^^ What they said. I have mine as the last item in the FX loop so it just makes everything LOUDER without adding dirt
