I currently have a Boo Instruments Chorus which is brilliant but I don't really use it much. Figure I could sell it for £120ish and get something different - new chorus and a new OD perhaps. And suggestions of decent chorus pedals for £50 used?

Someone here is selling a DOD FX65 for £40. Bargain if the switch and battery lid aren't damaged. Great sounding chorus.
See 'Effects Cull' in the FX classified.

For £50 second hand a TC Corona sounds very good.  Based on my previous experience, you are taking a bit of a punt on TC reliability, but it does sound very good.

Think I got a bit luck getting an MXR Analog Chorus for £55, like it a lot - not least because with the mix, level & EQ you can dial to subtle, nearly not there, kind of thing.

    What's the MXR univibe like?
Excellent.  I had one for a while and it's a thick, chewy, vibe sound.
Thing is, it's not unlike a phaser and that's why I couldn't justify the vibe and the phaser but the MXR was great.

    I thought exactly the same.

Have Boo chorus pedals ever been £120 used? Do Boo they make another model of chorus perhaps?

  • Their chorus is £150 new so I guess I am being too optimistic.

I have a lovely hate relationship with chorus. Don't really use it but think if I do get rid I'll regret it. But the space could be used for something more versatile like the inivibe...hmm

Ehx small clone if you have to use chorus
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I'd recommend the MXR Analog chorus, it's tweakable without being too complicated.

If you've got money to burn I'd suggest the EWS modded Arion SCH-1
