Source for double sided tape

What's a good source for a decent double sided tape that's not too thick and doesn't require a jackhammer to get it to release?
The stuff I've got is awful - really thick and rubbery and a nightmare to get apart.
I want something for sticking templates to pickuards for routing - I've got a few that need a wee tweak and (relative) ease of release will be helpful.

I use cheap carpet tape, it doesn't have massive grip so can use relatively big bits vs death grip tapes, so it resists twisting but still comes apart without a fight. Its thin as well.

Poundland.   Can't remember how much they charge though.

I use golf grip tape. Very sticky, peels off easily. If you need to reduce the tackiness just wodge your hand on it.

B&Q or Screwfix. I wouldn’t use it for anything which ends to stay fixed, but for temporary attachment the Diall tape is OK.

I use the Crimson Guitars 'Greatest luthier trick of all'. Masking tape on both sides and super glue together. Pulls apart pretty easily

The 3M tape that Stew Mac sell is by far the best I've used, it's strong but peels off very easily. It seems to be impossible to buy over here.. Guitars & Woods in Portugal used to sell it, but last time I checked they were no longer stocking it. At the moment (run out of 3M), I'm using Tesa tape. Like the 3M, it's expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the suggestions. Looks like a wander up to B&Q is in order.

I use branded "Sellotape" double sided, you can get it in the supermarkets.

A tip to get the two pieces apart if they are tight is to "twist" off if pulling does not work.

Gavin. How did you get on with this? I’m always interested because suppliers are always changing their recipes in search of lower costs, and sometimes the product no longer works the way you want it to.

I must confess I've only just now ordered some Sellotape from Amazon!
