New Synth Day- this time an Electron Analog Four.

It is really weird out here- people don't seem to value anything a bit old.
Got this for about 60% of what they go for in the UK.
It goes 'bleep blop bleep'.

It is entirely possible that the locals neither understand nor value that sort of instrument. Also, Japanese designed music technology is probably more readily available.

All of the Elektron stuff is awkward to use.
I also have the Octatrack II and it is difficult bitch.
They can do things that other things cannot though so worth putting in the time.

Isn't that kinda the point? Being obliged to deviate from our usual compositional habits increases the likelihood of producing something original.

there's certainly merit in that; the Odyssey has a fairly unique work flow too, and it has so far given me some new things to think about.

Yes, I agree.
I like the Elektron gear, not just for that but because it is unique in the industry in what it does and how it does it.
I don’t find them that awkward to use really, it is just a different set of techniques.
