WTB: Tele control plate with no pickup selector hole

I'm after a tele control plate with no pickup selector hole, only holes for a volume and a tone pot. Anyone have one or know where I can get one for a reasonable price?

I have a chrome-finished one with only the countersunk holes at each end for the fastening screws. I need to remember where I obtained it.

Do you know where you got it from @Funkfingers? I bought one from either axesrus or axecaster and asked a friend to drill it but the metal wasn't strong and it ended up slightly bent. My friend described it as being made from 'cheesy metal'.

That's what's on @vasselmeyer's Tele. I put Variax innards in the Tele.

Actually, @SteveRobinson it was Wizard P90s and you put the toggle exactly where it should be, on the upper body near the strap button, but it was definitely a John5 plate.

Sorry I meant I put Variax guts in the J5 Tele. I wasn't very clear!

I bought one without any holes from @gavin_axecaster a couple of years ago.

@CasperCaster were you able to drill it without it bending?

Sorry @Johnnyseven I never got around to drilling it - like many projects there was a change of plan, and Rockinger in Germany sell one with holes for tone, volume and a 3-way Gibson style toggle, which was what I wanted.

i drilled one, they are chrome plated brass, which is easy to drill if you are careful , use a pilot hole and go slowly.

I've got a plain chrome one you could have for a 5er. No holes other than mounting holes.

Thanks @BornFromAJackal but my mate drilled one of those for me and it curved it a bit. I might try putting some heavy things on it to straighten it out rather than buy another

In the end I was able to correct the bend in tbe metal so it's sitting flush now.

Screw it it to a scrap bit of hard wood. Use a small drill to drill a pilot hole. Continue using ever larger bits until you get to the hole size you need. The plate should be still flat....
