Hi Everyone,

I tend to play one instrument for a good few months/years and then switch it up for a bit. Currently playing this AVRI62 strat. I bought it new about 5 years ago. It has collected a few dings here and there from gigs/rehearsal, but I had to stop playing it for a while as the single coils were so noisy in our rehearsal space.

Been back with it for about 5 months now and can't get enough of it. Really like the way the white has turned yellow over the years, and that I appear to have worn it back to white where my arm rests.

Anyway, what are you guys currently playing most?

    This one. I needed a backup for my Les Paul so I'm gigging this one a lot to get used to it;

    Lovely. How do you find the weight on stage?

    @terada at 7.5 pounds it's the lightest guitar i own. It is a fairly unwieldy size on stage though, but then so am I.

    I play these two equally. I'm keeping them and selling all the rest. EJ on the left, Little Sister on the right.

  • For me it's been this recently:

    Great for Black Keys & White Stripes bluesy things, it also sounds great as an acoustic when I can't be bothered plugging in.

    My current most played photo would be a Specialized Camber mountain bike. I've found it hard to find time to pick up guitar this summer as the trails are absolutely perfect this year and I've got my fitness mojo back. Need to set some time for guitar too..

  • It's my least expensive guitar, but it's my most played at the moment.

    The one on the right. Since this picture the neck pickup has been replaced with an Oil City Californian, like its predecessor on the left. With each build I’m edging closer to my ideal gigging guitar, whatever that may be.

    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    Mine is the first guitar I built from scratch. It has a single coil in the middle as well now.

    This one, my #1.
    Modified American Pro Strat, given to me brand new by a very close friend when I got "All Clear" from the Hospital.

    Priceless and simply the best guitar I've ever owned.

  • Funny! I’ve recently picked my AVRI ‘62 back up too, mines aged nicely as well! The nitro is really starting to wear down, mines about 15 years old or so now.

    But I cannot put down either of my strats right now, the Hendrix always gets the rub because it’s got such a nice feeling neck
