Mostly acoustic just now so this is my main squeeze at the moment!!
@CMW335 ;Having played an acoustic dread Martin copy exclusively for years when starting to learn guitar, I adore the simplicity of this. is it a 28 or an 18? and what year?

It’s a 1964 D28, one of those you don’t want to put down.

Sometimes I take some time off with another guitar but this one always finds it's way to the #1 position!

that's a swish and starry photo. very old grey whistle test texture. you are another like @p90fool (first page of this thread) who has obvious performer confidence and authority.

i think that's what separates a lot of singers from guitarists. some people (myself included) play guitar because they don;t want to have to be the one who has to look the audience in the eye.
having a guitar to look down at and fiddle with is a good excuse to be up there and making a big noise without having to deal (actual eye contact) with anyone who might be listening.

Some nice looking guitars here, I bought this Schecter (2nd hand) a few weeks ago, I realise it's a cheap guitar but I love the feel, I just seem to get on with it very well. My other guitars aren't any attention at the moment

For the last year or so it's been a constant battle between these two, with the Reverend Spacehawk often having the advantage. It's big, but the contoured and semi-hollow body make it comfortable and light. And the bass contour and phase switch make it very versatile.

But a new arrival might just change this...

My MIM Strat. Stock pickups replaced with OilCity StoneTones, and alloy sustain block replaced with a Callaham one...

I used to definitely be a Tele man, and the Strat was very much bought on a whim. However, I’m now preferring the versatility of the Strat and how ‘fluid’ it sounds compared to the more percussive nature of a Tele.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Was the Bigsby on the SG an addition or was that how it came from Gibson?
