Beginners resources

hi all, coming back to guitar after a 10ish year break, are there any decent resources,
websites, apps or books with noting to get myself back up to speed? I can remember shapes of scales and chords but stuff like notes and chord names have gone!

Thanks

    another vote for Justin Guitar.
I was in a similar boat to you 3 or 4 years ago (coming back to guitar after closer to 20yrs) Justin's Beginner course is worth doing or at least viewing as it will fill in any gaps you may have. You'll progress very quickly to his intermediate course which is where it gets a bit more interesting. Lots of songs to learn on his site as well.

I use youtube quite a lot now to learn specific songs there are some very good channels out there.

  • Carl Brown's website and Youtube channel are really good. Lots of useful technique lessons and loads of song lessons.

Would second Justin's site - I use it for tips for my own teaching sometimes, he's very good at what he does!

This is also a really useful little tool for chords/scales etc. Simple and easy to use:
