Shipping a 100w Head (U.K.) best way?

i very rarely post things (usually prefer F2F) but in this instance the buyer wants a 100w Head posted within the U.K. who would you recommend and at what price would it normally cost.

amp is a friedman so insurance would likely need to be £2k

I’ve recently used UPS but avoid ParcelHero ad a broker as they’re trying to shaft me with an excess fee that is totally unjustified

Most couriers have limits on how much they will insure amplifiers for, it will be in the fine detials, you need to package it very well as it will get thrown around

This.  Pack it assuming it’s going to be dropped.  Last amp I posted, the courier threw it over the fence of the guy that bought it, on to a paved patio

For a 2k amp surely you'd be best trying to meet half way?

I have arranged two deliveries with DPD Local in the past few months for amp heads and the process was perfect. Remove the valves (having made a note of what goes where) and package as best you can.

If you are circa 100 miles apart, I would be asking for a face-to-face halfway.

I've shipped valve heads in the past - UPS via interparcel - but only when I've had the original double carton packaging complimented by a shed load of bubble wrap just to be extra cautious.
