Up for grabs is a 2014 Gibson Custom Shop R0 1960 reissue. I haven’t gigged this guitar and it’s in very good condition. Iced tea burst.

It’s the VOS spec and has  been lightly aged, comes with case, COA and case candy. £3,450

Based in Purley south of Croydon.

Yep... the R0’s are definitely my favourite. I love the natural look of them... and that’s a beauty  :)

Thanks @tone1 it’s a nice example. When trying to price it I took a look at the new ones at circa £5.5k which seems pretty steep.

I’d hang on to it but have my eye on something vintage.

trying Flickr for the pictures now:

I assume the ageing is after-market? I have to say, it looks like a better job than Gibson do when they age in-house (rather than when they get Tom Murphy to do it).

Cheers @Brize  the ageing was done by a very talented bloke in the southwest. I’m a big fan and will get him to work his manic on one of my other LPs :)

Thanks @Frantic1 , yes the pickups are the original custom buckers. And I’ll get it on the scales in the morning, I suspect between 8 and 9 pounds.

    cheers

  • Back from holiday bump.

Ive followed the Peach R8 thread which is an interesting read and I’ve seen the GG deals on R9/0s, I still think this is a good buy if you’re after an aged R0  =)

  • Reducing the price to £3150 on this, as it needs to cover the R9 purchase
