I have just got myself a TC Spark Booster. It seems the pedal is only engaged when my foot is held on the pedal. Is there a way round this so the pedal turns it on and off?

Fairly sure that new and out of the box it should latch (press for on, press for off).

However, you can use it in "momentary" mode (only engaged whilst the switch is held down) but there's not a toggle AFAICR, you just hold the switch down for longer.

Try just giving it a quick stab, rather than keeping your foot on it?

That's how it's supposed to operate. If it doesn't then you probably have a faulty pedal.

    That's how mine was.

  • What's generally best - booster before or after overdrive?

What do you want to achieve?

Before the drive (or in the front of the amp) will give you more drive (more gain/breakup).

In the loop (after drive/pre-amp) will give you a volume boost without changing the gain (unless you're hammering the power valves already :) ).

I have a drive either side of mine so I can do both.

    Great little pedals.
