1953 Martin 0-18,  small but perfectly formed and fantastic tone.   Complete brainstorm selling it, didn't even need the money at the time!

Traded my guild with @Bridgehouse since then swapped jobs for more happiness and less money, .... Have plenty of  gear but the market is soooooo bad at this time of year..... I'm gonna keep trying tho .. That guild will be mine once again :D

@Strangefan...you see, what you need to do is find guitar(s) that @Bridgehouse fancies and dangle them enticingly... ;)

Not so much one I let get away but was chatting with my dad (god rest his soul) about guitars when he was a youngster.

He told me he had a nice old strat (this was back in the 1960's so it must have been quite old back then) that he brought off a mate for not much money. My eyes widened at this point thinking 'you've got a 1950's strat in the loft that you're about to bestow apon me'

Nope - he told me it got a bit dented up through playing so he chucked it away.

I still mention this to his soul whenever I visit his grave

I sold my first proper guitar, a Rickenbacker 4000 bass. I really wish I'd kept it, I probably wouldn't play it but would love to still own it. C'est la vie.

Nah...you wouldn’t have to sully your hands with them...just sort out some 3-way “drop-shipping” -type trade.

You’d never even have to feel the aesthetic horror of looking at them, let alone owning them! ;)

I might need to state the trade value of the Guild before such an arrangement ;)

I don't have any sold gear regretz as it was over and done with by the time I decided to let the stuff go and some of it was really awesome stuff I might ad. Still it was part of the journey towards future gear better suited these days.

FWIW amidst all the 'regrets, I've had a few', most times I decide to flip a guitar on I can't wait to see the back of it.  Like a relationship that's gone stale that one just wants OUT of, with as little drama as possible...
