I have buffed early before, never that early.   I am surprised you don’t see it sinking in drastically after that.  Sometimes that’s the reason I buff early, but it’s done at a week, not a day.  Everything else waits 4 weeks minimum so it’s harder and more brittle before checking

Not really buffed... not on a wheel anyway... was flatted back a little just to get shot of some orange peel and then hand polished with a rag I have which is now more Tcut than cloth!!!

the freezer thing is a bit of an experiment... it’s the first time it’s been empty in 7 years and it’ll prolly be full again by the weekend...

wont hurt to bung it in overnight!... see if it does work...

So after a night in the freezer we have ended up with this.

So there you go... you can get Day old nitro to check (providing you use my secret recipe before buffing and freezing )

the blood of virgins? unicorn tears?

Looks great chief what a job you've done in such a short amount of time.  I assume missus poopot has paid for the stuff while acting extremely apologetically.

I showed missus munckee the picture and explained your wife did it, she said "wow you would leave me on the spot if I did that" and I said "yup" and we both stood there in silence for a minute each in deep thought...

So why do Fender Custom Shop relics cost so much when basically you can do one in 3 hours in your garden?

It’s a closely guarded family recipe... a mix of “blue” and a pinch of “yellow”. Turns lacquer hard in minutes!...

Not really much of a secret formula with rattle cans. can’t exactly vary the mix. i presume it’s just applying all the things that will help.

So warm dry air rather than heat, good airflow. Making sure the body is at the right temperature

plus the way it’s finished with minimal sanding and
Tcut is not the same as flatting out through the grades  and machine buffing.

still would of been nice to share the technique if it’s that good.

it looks the part so nice work
