If you pay 20% extra, sure.
Is that how it works? I thought the taxman just came in and shagged her for the last twenty minutes?
Presupposing the customer had lasted for eighty...

Definitely a holiday/short break - you’ve (hopefully) worked hard and deserve one...or another one if you already get away regularly.

    That's a good shout.
I've been thinking about this all day, and it would probably end up being something mountainbike related. Probably a new set of forks, or rear shock.

    If I didn't have one already, I'd buy a Sigma 00R-28VSE.

Remember I went to the States recently for work? They gave me a restaurant voucher for two.... we've ended up going to an 8-course taster at a Michelin star in Edinburgh (I've never tried one)! About £240 for the two of us! Do you fancy something like that instead of an item you can keep?

£500 into your pension - you'd get the tax relief and so get more out of it.

Alternatively £500 into a stocks and shares ISA.

If you are based further south the Riverside in Bray is amazing, has 3 michelin stars I think.  My in laws went to Gordon Ramsay's at the savoy and paid £500 for what was apparently a very ordinary lunch.

  • Spend it on hiring an agent to negotiate future bonuses. Works for the ball kickers.

An experience rather than an item, such as a cheap weekend for two away to Italy or similar to eat good food
Research consistently shows that spending money on experiences makes you happier than spending on "things", so unless there's something you need, I'd do this.

Suspect you're conflating the Riverside Brasserie (used to be a Heston place, now an OK, but unexceptional restaurant in a great location) with the Waterside Inn (3*, Roux-owned). Understandable, both in Bray!

Yep you are right it was the waterside I meant.  While I was there once a young couple came in and without looking at any menus asked for a bottle of the best champagne they had.  I was reading the wine menu at the time and the best champagne was £6,000.  They had half a glass each while pushing their food round the plate and both sitting on their phones before leaving the rest.  My wife wouldn't let me grab the rest of the bottle...

No as her services are not VATable.  You could get an ordinary receipt though.

I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

They got me curious.  Apparently they do have to register for VAT if they earn enough taxable income, according to this website:

    https://www.taxrelief4escorts.co.uk/tax-basics/vat/

I'm amazed that site exists, although being pedantic their VAT thresholds are out of date....

Not sure £500 would cover it. Last time I bought a "20p mix" it cost me £1.27. Absolute swizz!

Anyway, I'd buy a Naim Muso QB or a nice record deck.
