    Shaping contours.

Body mostly sorted and sanded bar a few tweaks. I have to say that I am very pleased with how it has gone. Most satisfying.

  • That's coming along very nicely, @axisus ; :)

Because they are such a familiar shape, you tend to forget just how relatively complex they are...

Just beautiful - and its amazing that you are actually making the body and neck from scratch (for me building a start means buying a free parts and putting it together like an Airfoil model).

May I respectfully suggest that you contour the neck block / rear of the lower horn like the Guthrie Govan Charvel? Makes upper fret access so much easier...

making a template for the trem screw holes.

Drilling holes.  The template has double sided tape on then was clamped with pressure to make sure it stayed put

fret markers fitted, slots cut deeper to allow for fretboard radius
