Procuring a Wooden Box

Hi,

My brother needs a small wooden box with a hinged top just about big enough to hold a 5 inch smartphone (it's a long story why he needs this).

Does anyone know where a nice hardwood box can be had cheaply?

Try a craft shop?  They normally have undecorated pine boxes for creative sorts to customise.

Many charidee shops (if you can find one hidden away on the high street), have those cheap carved hardwood boxes.

Nobody/nothing died.

He is making a present for somebody which is basically going to be a box that plays a video when opened. He was originally going to use a Raspberry Pi but I suggested an old Smartphone would be easier, cheaper and probably have a better battery life.
