I've been holding my breath for so long on that rumour I'm turning blue. @wibble is right though, Apple do some good student deals, worth checking out.

Currys appear to be selling MacBook Airs for £799 at the moment. Described as 2017 models, but I couldn't find any difference in spec between it and the model sold on the Apple Store for £950.

I got an Apple Educational discount through Unidays last year, bit disappointing though, only £19 off a $400 iPad.
