Neck on Graham Coxon tele

ZoolooterZoolooter Frets: 886

Does anyone know or shed some light on the neck profile of a Coxon telecaster. I was trying different tele neck sizes the other day and the Coxon was absoultely perfect, a bit thicker than the standards and a tad smaller than a baja. Now, when I look at the pofile on the fender website it just has it as a 'C' or 'modern C' - it was definitely different to the other necks I tried that where supposed to be a 'C' or 'mordern C'

The point of all this is I want to put together an all black tele with a thickish (not too thick) rosewood board neck.

Cheers

  • It's 'supposed' to be a C profile.

Medium C is what I'd call it - slightly bigger than a 60's profile but with a flatter radius and bigger frets. I consider modern C's to be slimmer than 60's sizes, these days anyway. Modern Fender profiles are borderline Ibanez to me now. I quite fancied a Coxon for ages - nearly pulled the trigger a few times when they first came out.
